I have intentionally stopped keeping track of the noob-lite. I do not even want to know anymore. It is just as riveting as reading the magazines they sell at the grocery store check out that discuss the story lines of the soap operas. Made up shizz talking about more made up shizz.

Killing In Self Defense
by Cold Steel inthe man was moving around in the darkness of j's home with a gun.
he was certain j. and his family weren't there, but he was wrong.
when a door suddenly opened and a dark figure fumbled for the hallway light, he had only a moment to act.

Isn't it precious that one of us could be prosecuted in a JW "judicial" using the Bible as the means of authority, the very same Bible of which the entire first half of is full of nothing but stories about sanctioned slaughters, wars, murders and the like?

I apologize ahead of time because this post is by no means a well thought out question that I expect any sort of deep conversation about. But, I just have to blurt this out because I am so moved and getting angrier by the day.
The entire concept of "new light" (aka- "noob-lite") is so PREPOSTEROUS to me that I just about lose my mind when the GB audaciously roll this crap out without any admission of being wrong, being wrong for saying they are never wrong, having sent millions of people out to preach stuff they got wrong, or ever addressing that they could be wrong again in the future.
Possibly what is even more frustrating and confounding is how many rank and file Jdubs eat this "noob-lite" up as if it is manna from heaven. Never questioning the premise of a bunch of old dudes making shizz up as they go along, always re-writing history.
I am repulsed by this.
Thanks.

Right, BU2B. Incessant flip-flopping. They must have had a sketchy connection on the golden telephone line from the Holy Spirit to NY.

The real issue here is: why does a group of coddled old dudes in New York think they are capable or entitled to be making policies and proclamations about how, when and why an individual can defend themselves? Are they willing to take care of my family financially and otherwise if I am killed because I had no way of defending myself? If not, then they should keep their yaps shut!!!

Me punching someone in the face is deadly force even though all that I may be hoping for is to knock them out.

If I came upon a burglar who was stealing tools from my vehicle in my driveway in broad daylight and he ran away, I would not be within my legal or moral rights to shoot him unless he threatened me. But, at night when I cannot be sure that a burglar is simply stealing tools or he is carrying a weapon and planning a home invasion or worse, I have every legal and moral right to blow him away without any other factors considered. Makes sense to me.

The '75 Awake article that BU2B cited above is fairly reasonable until it gets to the part about keeping guns in the home. Statistically the presence of a gun (kept by someone who is proficient in using it) far outweighs any accidental deaths. Of course, anti-gun zombies will always use skewed and biased statistics and anecdotal stories (like the one cited) to make their point. But once dug into by someone who knows the real data, their argument can easily be destroyed.

Balaamsass2, good stuff. "History is written by the victors!" and re-written later on when it becomes inconvenient.

Precisely! If, in the moment of the attack, time could be stopped and Brother Nutsbegone could be given the choice in the moment "Do you want a flower pot or a 12g shotgun?", 100 times out of 100 any *sane* person would choose the shotgun. But 90% of them will ignore reality and instead play a fantasy game in their head of "divine protection" and even justify martyrdom with the promise of a paradise resurrection. IDIOTS!!!!!
Agree too on the "blood guilt" of NOT defending an innocent from attack. Much worse crime in my book.
